Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to the supply of website and marketing services by Midlands Websites.

 

1. Services

We provide:

• Website design and development (primarily using Wix Studio)

• Website updates and improvements

• Digital marketing services

All services are provided as described on our website or as agreed with you in writing.

 

2. Pricing

Pricing is confirmed on a project-by-project basis before any work begins, either in a written quote or invoice.

We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.

 

3. Deposits

A 50% deposit is required to begin a website project.

• This secures your project slot

• Work will not begin until the deposit is received

• The deposit is deducted from the final price

• Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun

 

4. Payments

• The final balance is due on completion, before the website goes live

• Marketing services are paid monthly in advance

• Late payment may delay delivery of your project

 

5. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide the content we need (text, images, etc.)

• Respond to requests in good time

• Make sure any content you provide is accurate and lawful

Delays in providing materials may delay your project.

 

6. Revisions

We offer unlimited reasonable revisions to make sure you're happy with the final website.

However:

• Revisions must relate to the agreed scope

• Major changes or new features may incur additional costs

 

7. Timescales

A typical website build takes 7 to 14 days, depending on:

• project complexity

• how quickly you respond

• how quickly content is provided

We're not liable for delays caused by missing information.

 

8. Cancellations

• If you cancel before work begins, the deposit may be refunded

• If you cancel after work has started, the deposit is non-refundable

• If substantial work has already been completed, additional charges may apply

 

9. Liability

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. However, we are not liable for:

• Loss of business or revenue

• Indirect or consequential losses

• Issues caused by third-party platforms (e.g. Wix downtime)

 

10. Third-party services

Websites may depend on third-party platforms, such as Wix or hosting providers. We're not responsible for issues outside our control.

 

11. Marketing services

Marketing results aren't guaranteed, as they depend on factors like:

• market conditions

• competition

• ad spend

• other external factors

We'll manage campaigns professionally but can't guarantee specific outcomes.

 

12. Intellectual property

• The website becomes your property once it's fully paid for

• We may showcase completed work in our portfolio

• You must have the rights to any content you provide us

 

13. Termination

We reserve the right to stop work if:

• payments aren't made

• communication breaks down

• these terms are breached

 

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
